Dress like a Shanghai Local: Summer Edition

Even though summer is winding down you still have a chance to check out some awesome Shanghai fashion trends.

Step 1: Find a short skirt

Step 2: Find one that's even shorter (yes, I recognize these pics are a little creepy, but that's how I feel when I see these skirts every day)

Step 3: Find some cute shoes, then add 4" platforms to them

Step 4: Add some ankle hose. Even better if the shoes are open-toed

Step 5: Since your skirt is super short, you should be sure to cover up your arms with either a man's dress shirt or just sleeves.

Step 5: Don't forget your fluorescent face visor.

Step 6: If you don't have a face visor on hand, be sure to pick up a facekini
Stay away from the sun: Chinese beachgoers wearing body suits and protective head masks, dubbed 'face-kinis' by Chinese netizens, on a crowded public beach in Qingdao, northeast China's Shandong province

No sunburns here!!! Interested in trying any of these trends?

These are by no means unique examples, but it's not to say that everyone in Shanghai has some strange fashion-sense. I've seen many enviable outfits every day on the subway and the street, and even on bikes! It's impressive.

Also, don't think Shanghai is the only place with fashion finds gone astray...

I hope you are bringing your anklet hose, mini skirts and facekinis to wear while in China.

  2. Wow...there are no words! Although, I have to say these outfits are slightly better than Miley Cyrus' latest outfits.
